3D Painted Ray - Bowl

This bowl was SOOO time consuming, but I’m happy with how my first piece inspired by Japanese Artist, Riusuke Fukahori, turned out!
Painted about 5 layers to create the Spotted Eagle Ray which consisted of painting a layer, pouring a layer, painting a layer, pouring a layer etc.
It definitely by no means is perfect, but at my first attempt of the technique I’m proud to say it wasn’t a total fail 😂🙌🏼. This maybe took two weeks to complete and I’m doubly proud of my impatient self. It’s such an exciting and nerve wracking thing to create with resin since each layer needs at least 12-24 hours of proper cure time between.
This bowl is waterproof and scratch resistant. It can be washed with non-abrasives or shined with glass cleaner.
Inspired by life in Oahu before moving to California, my goal is to spread aloha through my pieces.
Please note all pieces are painted/created by hand using high-quality and food safe resin/mixed media. Due to this nature, products are one-of-a-kind and may include small imperfections.
